Concentric Power is a leading energy technology company in the sustainable infrastructure industry.  We seek an ambitious contracts professional who will support the Project Development team in creating some of the most innovative energy projects with both private and public customers.  The Contracts Manager will be closely involved before, during and after contract award.

The Contracts Manager reports to the Chief Revenue Officer (currently the CEO) with a dotted line to the CFO.  This position will provide “cradle to grave” contract management including negotiating, drafting and managing contracts for energy services, equipment sales and long-term service contracts.

This individual will collaborate with internal stakeholders to standardize contract details across the board resulting in limited negotiations of terms and conditions.  Critical to success is establishing a process to review and execute all contracts and agreements in an efficient and timely basis, which is essential to achieving agreed upon project schedules.  This individual will counsel management on business terms in contract negotiations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant discipline
  • Paralegal certificate/or relevant course work a plus
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ relevant professional experience in contract management, project management and/or legal experience (preparation and evaluation of contracts) in an engineering and construction environment with large scale energy industry construction

Concentric Power is a leading energy technology company in the sustainable infrastructure industry.  We seek an ambitious energy professional who can contribute to the momentum of our customer facing development team as a Project Developer.  The position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer (currently the CEO).

This individual will be responsible for the full development cycle from qualifying and developing new customer projects to proposal preparation. Responsibilities continue through negotiating terms and contracts, initiating and managing project finance, through to delivery and commissioning. More specifically the Project Developer will be responsible for rapid deployment of project development tools created by Concentric to accelerate market adoption and ultimately the energy transition.

  • Established track record in developing the commercial and technical aspects of energy projects
  • Energy system design and configuration exposure with knowledge of generation, storage, distribution, controls and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
  • Understanding of grid services revenue models, including capacity, ancillary services, frequency response, demand response and others

Concentric Power is a leading energy technology company in the sustainable infrastructure industry.  We seek an ambitious engineering professional who will collaborate with internal project developers to further advance and detail Concentric Power’s technological roadmap and apply the current technology to projects under development. The right candidate will report to the Chief Revenue Officer (currently the CEO), with a dotted line to the Vice President of Engineering and Services. He or she will participate in advancing Project Origination and Development.  Additionally, this individual will work closely with models of prospective microgrids to facilitate detailed configuration of project sizing and selections of DER’s.  Interacting daily with internal Project Developers, the Project Development Engineer will be responsible for articulating the technical architecture and lay out of projects at the proposal stage.

Concentric Power, a leading energy technology company within the sustainable infrastructure industry, is offering a unique and exciting role for a service professional who can lead our customer facing Service Team and prepare for the next wave of projects.  The right candidate will join the team as Service Manager and report to the Vice President of Engineering and Projects.  The individual’s primary role will be to coordinate the operation, maintenance and repair our energy production assets and managing our customer relations.  The Service Manager will plan our long and short term service activities, direct the activities of our service technicians and coordinate with our key service partners to deliver an exceptional customer experience.  This individual will be responsible for establishing safe work protocols, service reporting, and training programs for our service technicians.  Additional responsibilities will include managing warranties associated with our systems & components as well as participating in development of LTSA’s (Long Term Service Agreements).

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for project commissioning and driving project delivery.

The right candidate will interface with internal customers (project managers, construction managers, project engineers, and application engineers) and external stakeholders (utilities, AHJs, contractors, and engineers) to ensure consistent communication. This individual will develop and execute commissioning plans, including resourcing, logistics, and scheduling and be the onsite lead for commissioning and acceptance testing.

  • BS in an engineering discipline or relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer
  • 5 – 10 years of professional experience in commissioning or performance testing for large scale PV, storage, or other energy systems
  • Knowledge and experience with SCADA protocols (ie DNP3 and Modbus)
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, SEL PLCs, Relays and meters, SCADA gateways, managed Ethernet switches, media converters (fiber and serial) and digital Input/output devices.

The Role:

We are offering a unique and exciting role to a Senior Project Manager who would enjoy building upon a dynamic engineering team and drive momentum of a leading engineering firm in the renewable energy industry. The right candidate will join the team as a Senior Project Manager and will be managed by the VP of Engineering and Projects.  This individual’s primary role will be to collaborate directly with the Company VP and internal project developers to execute and direct project workload related to Microgrid design, construction, operation and maintenance.   Depending upon their experience, this person will have the opportunity to manage other Project Engineers and Designers and participate in project development.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Project Manager’s primary roles at Concentric Power are to coordinate and manage overall scope, schedule, and budget for microgrid projects.  This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate with the Concentric Power development team to establish the project design, operational and financial basis for the project and to establish the roadmap for smooth project launch from development to execution.
  • Coordinate the high level design activities of internal and external CPI resources for the electrical, mechanical, and automation aspects of microgrid projects and ensure these teams remain focused on specific deliverables related to project scope, schedule and budget necessary to support the construction effort.
  • Ensure construction and delivery of the project as per the Basis of Design (BOD) and other contractual performance deliverables.
  • Establish and coordinate permitting requirements and documentation generation with the Concentric Power project team, local utilities and AHJs to ensure design and project approach meet all requirements for interconnected and island operation.
  • Work with the Concentric Team and the VP, develop and implement a standard project and product approach to engineering and project deployment.
  • Define, negotiate, award, and manage subcontractors required by Concentric Power to deliver successful projects.  This includes but is not limited to:
    • Civil/Structural Engineering Firms
    • Electrical Engineering Firms
    • Architects
    • Mechanical Contractors
    • Electrical Contractors
    • Concrete/Foundation Contractors
    • Equipment Suppliers for Gensets, SWGR, BESS, Solar, transformers and other balance of plant mechanical equipment
  • Monthly reporting on project budget, cost to date, forecast to date, margin forecast, and overall project cash flow will be required.
  • Approval of all vendor/subcontractor invoices prior to entry into Concentric Power’s accounting system.
  • Along with the lead project developer at Concentric, the project manager is the point person responsible for customer communications and reporting on project status, forecasting and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate all aspects of site work construction, commissioning, and closeout activities.
  • Perform site visits as necessary for customer meetings and monitoring site progress with respect to construction and commissioning activities.

  Requirements:

  • Professional Engineering License in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other demonstrated and verifiable proficiency in the consistent delivery of large electro-mechanical industrial projects
  • Engineering or Construction Management Degree from ABET Accredited Program
  • Project Design Experience-BESS, DSA, federal, microgrid and interconnected-grid systems
  • Established track record and experience managing the construction of projects through commissioning in the $20-80M capital cost range inclusive of stakeholder communications, financial reporting, cost tracking analysis, and forecasting and high-level scope and schedule management
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications & MS Project 
  • Strong work ethic with a self-motivated mentality, team leader and mentor disposition
  • Travel primarily within the state of California to support projects.  Travel outside of California may be required for equipment factory acceptance/inspection visits
