John Brewster is presently a consultant to energy companies worldwide and serves on the board of Concentric Power and Kentucky Angel Investor Network.

John served as President and CEO of NAES Corporation located in Issaquah, Washington. NAES is the generation industry’s largest independent, third-party provider of operations and maintenance services, and also serves the industry with specialized support and construction services. Prior to joining NAES, he was Chief Commercial Officer of Composite Technology Corporation and President of its transmission line subsidiary, CTC Cable Corporation.

John’s background includes 40 years of experience in the energy industry including restructuring, early stage development, marketing, plant operations and executive management. Mr. Brewster was previously employed as the Chief Operating Officer of Calera Corporation, a Khosla Venture-funded startup company that is dedicated to reversing global warming by capturing and storing greenhouse gasses in the build environment. He also served as EVP Plant Operations, Development Engineering, Procurement and Construction for NRG Energy Inc. There he was responsible for the implementation of the new build and repower program along with plant operations worldwide. John has served on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Recovery Authority after Hurricane Katrina, Mibrag a German coal company, SERC Reliability Corp., Gladstone Operating Services Pty, Ltd. (Australia) and several nonprofit corporations.
