Matthew Willis brings 10+ years of energy industry and academic experience to our team. Formerly a research scientist, Matthew has worked on projects ranging from sea level rise effects on Kennedy Space Center launch pad infrastructure to CO2 studies in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forests. Matthew served as the Director of Business and Project Development for a midstream oil and gas firm building the first waterside marine LNG bunkering terminal in the United States, where he established and implemented net zero construction processes.
Matthew has specialized in structuring unique businesses in the energy space that include Energy-as-a-Service models, go-to-market models for microgrids, and actively building energy industry organizations.During Matthew’s time off work he enjoys spending time with his wife, Marni, and their 3 year old son, Jas. As a devoted surfer, he is eagerly waiting for the time when is son is old enough to engage in surfing and beach activities that have been a part of his life since childhood on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
